Spirit Lake Early Childhood Tracking

  • Education Program

Is an education-based program that monitors a child’s growth and development from birth to age 5 using 2 methods:

  • Ages & Stages Questionnaires filled out by a parent/guardian.
  • Brigance screening conducted by our education staff.
  • Development testing
  • Education Referrals
  • Autism Diagnostic Referrals
  • Home Base Education Services
  • Recruitment of children birth to 5 years of age
  • Collaboration with early intervention programs, schools, and Head Start


All information is confidential, and you are informed of the results. Participation in the program is voluntary and there is no cost to the parents.

 

  • Newborn Hearing Rechecks

The Spirit Lake Early Childhood Tracking partners with North Dakota Early Hearing Detection and Intervention

Program (ND EDHI). Referrals are received from ND EDHI program for follow up and rescreening of initial newborn hearing indicated as refer from Birth Centers (Hospitals). The Spirit Lake Early Childhood Nursing staff assist families with scheduling follow up screening, case management, and referrals if indicated to Primary Care Providers for further evaluation.


  • North Dakota Health Tracks

Health Tracks is a preventative health Program for children ages 0 years 21 years eligible for North Dakota Medicaid. The Health Tracks team completes assessment with children in the following areas:

·        Complete physical exam

·        Hearing & Vision

·        Dental exam with Fluoride application

·        General health & education

·        Speech/Language evaluation

·        Developmental testing

·        Mental Health Assessment

·        Immunizations

·        Orthodontic Screening

·        Case Management of referrals

  • Screening are available for all children eligible for North Dakota Medicaid. 

 

  • Car Seat Distribution Program

Limited car seats are available through this program for primary caregivers. We have one car seat technician on staff for any car seat questions or if you would like your current car seat checked.


  • Vaccine for Children Program

Spirit Lake Early Childhood Tracking participates in the North Dakota Vaccine for Children Program.  Vaccines For Children (VFC) program, which helps provide vaccines to eligible children 0 through 18 years of age.  The VFC program offers free vaccines to individuals 18 and younger who are Medicaid eligible, American Indian or Alaskan Native, uninsured or underinsured (a child whose health insurance benefit plan does not cover vaccines or a particular vaccine).
